The legend of the Kraken can be traced back to Norse seafarers and fisherman, who told tales of a giant sea monster that dwelled off the coast. They described it as a giant creature with tentacles that could drag ships and sailors down to the depths of the ocean. The creature's size was said to be so large that it was able to create huge whirlpools, which sailors would avoid at all costs.
