Mahākāla represents the "power" of the Buddha in folkloric Mahayana Buddhism and is considered a “wrathful” Buddhist deity. He is a manifestation of Avalokiteshvara
Mahayana Buddhism, and schools of Tibetan Buddhism, rely on Mahakala as guardian deity. He is depicted in a number of variations, each with distinctly different qualities and aspects. Mahakala is almost always depicted with a crown of five skulls, which represent the transmutation of the five kleśās (negative afflictions) into the five wisdoms.
This beautiful, hand-drawn Buddhist shirt is based on ancient depictions. It prints cleanly and sharply, with fine details. Each print variation is perfectly matched to its underlying shirt color.
