Vajrayogini is a powerful and transformative figure in the Vajrayana tradition of Buddhism. She is considered to be a yidam, or meditational deity, and is often depicted as a fierce and naked female figure holding a vajra and a skull cup. She is seen as a representation of the ultimate union of wisdom and compassion, and is believed to be able to guide practitioners towards the attainment of Buddhahood.

Vajrayogini practices, such as visualization and recitation of her mantra, are considered to be particularly effective for purifying negative emotions and for increasing one's capacity for compassion and insight. She is also seen as a protector of practitioners, and is invoked for protection and guidance on the spiritual path.
