She is depicted as a warrior goddess, fierce and powerful, who fights to protect the innocent and defeat evil.

Despite her fearsome appearance and reputation as a destroyer, the tantric Hindu goddess Kali is also a loving and compassionate goddess. She is often depicted with a kind and maternal expression, and is revered as a protector of children and the weak.
